Co-Founder | President – Gina Shumake Thomson

Gina was a caregiver of a terminally ill spouse with ALS. She also volunteers with Archbold Hospice. She has a degree in Interior Design and is the local owner of her own business in interior design. She along with two other ladies was the Co-founder of Lives Without Limits.

Co-Founder | Vice President – Beverly Hawkins

Beverly is the caregiver of a husband that has been wheelchair and homebound due to a brain aneurysm over 15 years ago. She is a banking officer for a local bank for over 21 years with administrative skills and coordination of schedules of many individuals. She brings personal experience of modifications for living within a community and providing constant community involvement and adaptations for outdoor hunting experiences for a person with a disability. With her banking experience she has potential to assist and navigate through banking needs for modification of homes. She is a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. She is a Co-Founder of Lives Without Limits.

Co-Founder | Executive Director - Billie Jo Beverly

Co-Founder of Lives Without Limits, has dedicated over 30 years to the field of physical therapy, serving in nearly every setting and touching countless lives through her work. As a lifelong advocate for wellness and inclusion, she co-founded Lives Without Limits to help individuals living with disabilities experience the joy of outdoor recreation and gain access to essential medical and daily living equipment at little to no cost. A business owner for more than 25 years, Bille Jo brings a deep understanding of both the medical community and the human spirit. Beyond her professional achievements, she is a devoted wife, mother, community supporter, philanthropist, and proud dog mom — living each day by the belief that everyone deserves the chance to live life without limits.

Secretary— Janet Howard

Janet served as a Certified Medical Assistant for over 20 years at a local ENT Doctors office in Thomasville. She was born and raised in Thomasville. She also worked as a paraprofessional in the county school system with special ed. children. She currently works for Ambassador Personnel. Her husband is a plantation manager with many years’ experience of land and wildlife.

She is a Member of The Georgia/Florida Field Trial Club and a member of Okapilco Baptist Church.

Treasurer – Catina Hart-Jones

Catina is a registered nurse with more than 28 years of experience. She has her Master of Science in Nursing Education. She has worked for Thomasville Orthopedic Center, Southwestern State Hospital, Archbold Home Health Services, Archbold Medical Center, Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities and Maxwell Healthcare Associates. She has served on several boards throughout the community as well as a committee member for Lives Without Limits for years.

Board Member – Jared Singletary

Jared is currently employed with Senior Life Insurance.  He was the Manager of The Ranges at Oakfield and a Range Master and Instructor. He also serves as the head coach for the Brookwood Shooting Team. Jared has been an avid outdoors person since he was a young child and has been involved with the shooting range since his high school days. Jared manages Lone Oak, a property in Ochlocknee where he and his children live and get to experience the outdoors on a daily basis. His deep passion for helping others enjoy the outdoors began at an early age. Jared finds great pleasure in taking people fishing or deer hunting and sharing his love for the great outdoors with them.

Board Member – Lisa Lowe

Lisa is a registered nurse (RN) with more than 25 years of experience. She has an accomplished nursing certifications as a AANP Family Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Certificate in Nursing Education, Certificate of Completion Train the Trainer for CNA program, SANE Certification, Certificate in Online Instructional Technology.

Lisa currently works at the Psychological Center for Growth & Development in Thomasville, GA; South Georgia Emergency Medicine Associates (SGEMA): Archbold Emergency Department; Nurse Practitioner, Thomasville, Georgia and Valdosta State University teaching Pharmacology, NC I: Fundamentals, NC III: Adult Health, Pathophysiology Hybrid Instructor, Adult Health and Fundamentals Practicum, Community Health in Nursing practicum, Study Abroad Program, APN: Women’s Health Practicum; Valdosta, GA.

Board Member – Putt Wetherbee

Putt is the owner of Shermer Pecans and is an accomplished business owner. Tragically, Putt became paraplegic due to a horrific crime. He is now facing the challenges of living with a disability and the day-to-day difficulties that come with it. Despite this life-changing event, Putt continues to lead his business with determination and resilience.

Board Member – Kerri Kelley

Kerri is a physical therapist with more than 25 years of experience with adult and geriatric populations in acute, subacute, outpatient and wound care settings. She has her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy and is currently working at John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital as Director of Rehabilitation.

Board Member – Bernie Hall

Bernie has been a dedicated contract agent with Country Financial for 16 years, specializing in Insurance and Retirement services. A proud husband of 27 years and father of three, Bernie is deeply committed to family, including a large extended network of nieces and nephews. Raised in Thomasville, Georgia, Bernie has always had a strong desire to help others. This commitment is exemplified by his recent involvement in assisting with his mother’s medical care over the past two years. A survivor of open-heart surgery at just two years old, Bernie brings resilience and compassion to his role on the board, advocating for the well-being of others in the community.
